Let's be realistic, few of you will genuinely want to "unplug" while gallivanting across the countryside, and that's okay. Apropos to the name of this site, with such vernacular as the "Modern Traveler", far be it from me to expect anyone to unplug, in fact. You may, if you so choose, but we live in a techno-driven world now, and much of our tools of trade are derived from such; notwithstanding our digital methods of pleasure and relaxation.
Thus, I thought it only prudently fair to include resources to relax and enthrall your mind, as the road can at times be quite numbing to our senses, and imagination. Some of you may have DVDs ready to watch on your laptop, while others of you have hand-held gaming consoles. I know the purists among you fancy nothing more than a good book, but even some of you might be using a Kindle. There's simply no shame in it. You've been on the road all day-- and while driving in shifts may help a little-- nothing will do like relaxation and a good night's rest. I do hope the following helps in even some small amount-- and by the way, it's all free. 😉
